When was women's specific PPE introduced into BAM Nuttall?
Back in 2017, BAM Nuttall and ARCO worked together to develop high visibility polo shorts, jackets, waist-coasts and trousers, all tailored to the female form, rather than traditional PPE which is tailored to the male form.
What were the results of the development trial?
The development of women's PPE ensured that the jackets were not too baggy and uncomfortable, their pockets would be easily reached, and that all of the reflective material was in the correct place.
What was the overall outcome?
The new women's PPE addressed comfort, practicalities and safety, to ensure that staff could do their jobs to the best of their abilities.
